Halloween and activities!

We have had a busy couple of weeks! With halloween approaching its been fun visiting the pumpkin patch and painting pumpkins. Dylan wasn't so into dressing up, but he loves his bones jammies so that worked for trick or treating! Sadie is so fun to dress up since she is so itty bitty! Here are some pics from this past couple weeks!

Fun Pictures!

Sadie had her MBS test today and was cleared for all liquids! Yeah! We will continue to give her rice though since it helps her maintain weight. She did great. Dylan went to a friend's house to play and did great there too! All is well here in the Schreiber house. I hope you enjoy the new pictures!

Fall is here!

Life is going well for us! Sadie is now three months old! We had pictures done at the picture people and we got a few cute shots! She is so aware and smiley now. She loves to suck on her hands, look at books, lights, listen to music and stare at her crazy brother! Dylan loves Sadie. He looks for her everyday and brings me her carseat when he wants to go somewhere. Dylan has been enrolled in Gymboree classes and is adjusting to "structure" or maybe not adjusting yet! But its sure fun! Jen came to visit last weekend and we had a lot of fun hanging out and shopping! Life is good for us!

Next Thursday Sadie has her Modified Barium Swallow test which will determine if she still needs rice in her formula. Then November 1st we see the pulmonologist and hopefully will have the Apnea monitor removed. It's such a blessing to help us know she is safe, but its a PAIN! I lately pull the cord out all the time and the beeeeeep is so loud!

I started playing tennis again and I'm really loving that! That's all for now!!!

One Month Home!

Our Sadie girl is doing so great! She had her two month appointment and was 10 pounds one ounce. She is 23 inches long. She had five shots and had a fever and wasn't a happy girl, but has since bounced back. Dylan is loving having a sister and says ba-by all the time and even says sister. He loves to lay with her on the pillow and wants to make sure she is with him. He brings me her carseat whenever he wants to go anywhere. He tries to help out by giving her his sippy cup or laying with her when she is sad. Pam is visiting us now and we are having a great time. Dylan has been playing a lot with her. We are enjoying the last couple weeks of a warm pool too.

We went to see the cranial facial specialist and she said we will probably fix Sadie's cleft palate at about one year of age. We see the pulmonologist this week and we will check the monitor and how she has been doing. In October she will have another Modified Barium Swallow test to see if she still needs thickened formula.

Dylan has been doing great with learning his letters! He is already pro at his numbers and recognizes all numbers 1-10 and can count with help to 20. We are considering joining Gymboree Classes so he gets some more socialization. Should be fun! I hope you enjoy our recent pictures. Look at Sadie's plump cheeks!

Fun Pictures of my girl!

Here are some fun shots I took of Sadie with her new hats from an Etsy shop. I love her hats! www.zjohnson.etsy.com

She posted Sadie's pictures in her shop... awww so sweet!

Making herself at home...

Sadie has been busy making herself at home here. She definitely likes to call the shots around here. She unfortunately got a cold and has been having breathing treatments for a week. I think she is finally feeling better. Welcome home... now you are sick! AHHH! I hope we are on the mend. Her feeding has been going great. She is now up to 9 pounds. Which is hilarious since Dylan was nine pounds at like 2 weeks and here she is almost 8 weeks. She is growing and changing though so we are happy with her progress. My Mom is still here so that has been fun. She is helping a lot around here and also with watchign Dylan so I can take Sadie to her appointments. WE will start her feeding therapy either on Friday or next Tuesday. Sounds silly huh, but I think its to make sure she is getting enough food and latching the best she can with her cleft palate. Her monitor has been giving us a run for our money. It went off three times last night due to bad connections. Sadie slept right through it! It's a Godsend though because I don't worry about her dying anymore:-) Overall we are doing great. Of course I have pictures to share... stuck at home with two kids... what else is there to do? Haha!

Fun stuff!

We are having fun at home! Here are a few pics of Sadie in her tutu that Grandma Cozart gave her. Auntie Chris and Grandma came to visit! Dylan and Sadie had their bonding time watching Wubbzy together. He is already getting her hooked!
